FUNDS RAISED

We are proud to announce that we were able to raise $1000 for Echami Learning Centre through selling their artwork at our Art Gallery as well as through hosting a few Bingo evenings at Stevenson School. THANK YOU all for your generosity!

The Stevenson-Echami Project

We began a partnership between Stevenson and Echami Schools because the Alex family moved to Canada from Africa. The children in the family attended Echami School in Kakuma Town, Kenya. Now, they attend Stevenson School in the City of Winnipeg, Canada.

We wish for this project to bring awareness to all involved of how people around the world live differently. We also wish to raise funds for Echami School because "education is very important in the fight against poverty and development. It is also a life long investment in terms of empowering individuals and communities, i.e. economically and socially." - David K. Naumo, Director, Echami Learning Centre

BINGO WAS A SUCCESS

Our community enjoyed both our BINGO Fundraiser Nights for Echami School on April 18 and May 4.

Stevenson Art Gallery

Join us at Stevenson School on May 18 for our 6th annual evening art gallery event. Every student in the school has artwork on display for our gallery evening.

This year, we will have artwork from students at Echami School for sale, as a fundraiser for their school. All proceeds from the evening event go to Africa.
